Janice Weber,
an internationally acclaimed piano virtuoso and recording artist,
returns to the series for a recital highlighting the great
Romantics, Brahms and Liszt. Her solo performances have included the
White House, Carnegie Hall, the National Gallery of Art, and the
Newport Festival.

The Opera Institute
at Boston University will make its first appearance in the series.
Two singers and a pianist from this intensive training program for
emerging young professionals will present an evening of highlights
from well-known and beloved operas.

January 5: |
South Coast Chamber Music Society
will perform a program featuring works by French composers,
including Debussy, Francaix, Berlioz, and Rousse. This world-class
ensemble will be composed of mezzo-soprano, flute, oboe, string
quartet, and piano.

Providence Mandolin Orchestra
will present classical works by Dowland and Handel, arranged for mandolin
ensemble, as well as contemporary works. For the past 30 years, the PMO
has been one of the leading American mandolin ensembles, performing throughout
the US, in Canada, and in Europe.

April 12: |
New Piano Quartet
will make its debut in the
series. Formed in 2002 and designated the Ensemble in
Residence at the New School of Music in Cambridge, MA, the group
will perform Classical, Romantic, and contemporary works.
